Kinini Cooperative is a special place.  Just spend five minutes with the charismatic Jacquie Turner and it's easy to see why.  Jacquie is a visionary and her team's attention to detail is not easily matched.  We brought them a bag of roasted coffee in 2023 and showed them a common defect in natural coffees (we found 1-2 beans in a whole retail bag) and Jacquie immediately called her staff together to talk about ways to remove these defects completely.  Their true dedication to quality was amazing to seein person.  We've been buying their coffee since 2018 but in 2023 we were able to do our first visit and truly see what it was about.  Kinini washing station processes coffee from neighboring farms and farmer groups and separates lots in weeks and often times down to the day. In 2023 we were able to convince Jacquie to separate some woman run farm lots out for us and this year we're able to see some more work on their processing experimentation.  This lot was processed using an anaerobic fermentation, then dried in cherry similar to other "natural" processed coffees. You'll quickly recognize the prevalence of big, fruit forward aromas that this process contributes to the coffee.
